SRWC Guide to Information

This page explains how to make a request for information from the Office of The Scottish Road Works Commissioner (oSRWC). It also explains what information is routinely published by the oSRWC.

Making a Request for Information

Requests for information can be made informally or formally, in line with  the Commissioner's obligations under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002(FOISA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004(EIRs).

If you would like to make a request for information under the FOISA or the EIRs, please contact us using the following information:

The information you are looking for may already be publicly available, therefore we would encourage you to review the section below.

Publication Scheme

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires Scottish public authorities to produce and maintain a publication scheme. Authorities are under a legal obligation to:

publish the classes of information that they make routinely available
• tell the public how to access the information and what it might cost

The Publication Scheme can be viewed by clicking here: Publication Scheme or by contacting the Commissioner's office at the address below if you prefer a copy to be provided to you in another format.

The Commissioner's office will also be pleased to advise you on how to ask for information that is not published, or how to complain if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of this publication scheme.

The Commissioner's Guide to Information has been provided in order to:

• allow you to see what information is available (and what is not available) in relation to each class;
• state what charges may be applied;
• explain how you can find the information easily;
• provide contact details for enquiries and to get help with accessing the information; and
• explain how to request information we hold that has not been published.
