New Disruptions Export added to SRWR Open Data

The Scottish Road Works Commissioner has introduced a new source of open data from the Scottish Road Works Register. The new Disruptions Export contains a more concise form of the data than the currently available full extract. It includes details of planned and ongoing road works, events and permissions. It also highlights where activities may affect known bus routes.

It is hoped that this simplified format will encourage more widespread use of the data by those outwith the road works community, removing some of the complexity in using the full extract. 

This gives bus operators an opportunity to use data from the register to better understand the potential effects of works on their services.
